The University Compliance, Ethics, and Risk Office provides oversight and guidance to university-wide ethics, compliance, and enterprise risk management activities, and fosters a culture that embeds these disciplines in all university functions and activities. This office seeks to advance an embedded discipline of systematic and intentional identification, assessment, and management of all risks and opportunities that could significantly affect successful achievement of university goals, including specifically those risks related to compliance and ethical behavior requirements.
We provide centralized and coordinated oversight and guidance to the ethics, compliance, and enterprise risk management activities of the university, ensuring the evolution of a culture of risk and compliance awareness and accountability in a systematic, intentional, and coordinated manner. This office ensures that those risk and compliance management activities occur systematically, intentionally, and as part of an integrated and coordinated discipline across the entire university.

The activities of the office are comprehensive. They include oversight of compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, requirements, and university policies and procedures, fostering trust, integrity and respect throughout the university consistent with the UCF Creed, and oversight of the systematic and intentional identification, assessment, and management of priority risks and opportunities that could significantly affect university success. Activities of the office focus on training; education; developing processes that can be objectively assessed, monitored and audited for effectiveness; selection and implementation of appropriate risk mitigation strategies; issue resolution and corrective action plans; and actionable organization reporting. Effective operation of this office adds value to the university by minimizing the impact of unexpected volatility related to uncertainty, and by optimizing ethical and compliant behavior. Through compliance with internal and external laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, we aim to protect the vital resources and reputation of UCF and the careers and professional reputations of its employees.
